F40 RHD lights to LHD ?

Hi guys,

Today I was at control technic in France , and they said that I need to change head lamps lights because I bought my car in UK and they have different , due to RHD .
Is it hard to change ?

Nope ;((( I saw many cars in France has yellow head lights on F40 , I need also to have yellow lights ?? To pass the control technic ?

When sold new in France, it is true that F40 had yellow lights.

But for Contrôle Technique they don't care if your lights are white or yellow, because the yellow lights requirement was postponed a long time ago.

Your only problem is that your UK lights are directed to the wrong side of the road...

Buy how to adjust it ? To right side . I need to buy new headlamp unit ? Or it's possible to change or buy parts and adjust it?

No, because it is not today compulsory, the law has changed in 1995

I found that the headlamp unit is the same as on 355 !

Nope , I gave my car for control technic to Ferrari dealer, because I bought my car in UK a few months ago.

They said that my lights are not ok for France , cause they are adjusted for UK roads. Now I can call them and said that it's only 3 screws to make them back to EU specs. Ferraris dealer don't have any experience in this? Really wonders me everytime that they didn't know nothing about cars which they serviced.

I think they sould have the experience, you are not the only one who decide to make this

Many cars from England come to Monaco, more this is not the first thime they have a F40

Strange, why they didn't know that there is 3 screws on the back of the lamp unit which can change from UK to EU and back?

cause they told me that need to order parts from Factory !??

Many Ferrari dealers lost knowledge about older cars.

They don't wish to spend 1 hour to read the workshop manual, not profitable!
